Works on this page represent chronological versions of some of my drawings and paintings. But it has been largely superseded by my Birding and Drawing Blog. That is now a better source than this page for works in progress.
The Kildeer watercolor was done in early 2010 based on seeing my first Kildeer of the year at Morris Arboretum in early spring. The young Veery watercolor was done in 2009 based on a photo taken at Shenandoah National Park in May 2009. The charcoal and pastel drawings of the Acadian Flycatcher is based on a photo taken in Shenandoah in May, 2008. The charcoal and pastel drawings of the Wood Duck and ducklings is based on a photo I took at Tinicum(John Heinz Wildlife Refuge) in Philadelphia, PA on Memorial Day weekend in 2008. The Canada Warblers were photographed in Shenandoah in May, 2007. The Carolina Wren was seen in the snow at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia in early 2007 and painted that same year.
